At Liberty Wellness & Chiro we utilize the safest technology in radiographic imaging called Digital Radiography (DR). This technology offers many advantages over conventional radiography and is highly beneficial for patients and staff in several ways. Healthcare providers often refrain from taking necessary x-rays because of concerns of patient exposure to low levels of radiation.
DR significantly minimizes patient exposure to radiation by 70-80% versus conventional radiography, in many cases more. Radiographic images are obtained immediately on a computer monitor and our clinicians can enlarge and enhance these images on the screen (make lighter or darker by changing contrast). This optimizes bone and soft tissue visualization with outstanding sharpness and contrast leading to a more accurate diagnosis. This also minimizes the need to take additional exposures further reducing patient exposure.
Digital Radiography is also more efficient and organized than conventional x-rays with no bulky films to file or carry around to other healthcare practitioners. Your images can be e-mailed to other practitioners while discussing them over the phone or provided to you as your permanent record on CD.
